About the Company:

World is a network of real humans, built on privacy-preserving proof-of-human technology, and powered by a globally inclusive financial network that enables the free flow of digital assets for all. It is built to connect, empower, and be owned by everyone.

This role is with Tools for Humanity in our San Francisco office

We are building a generational brand with World—one of the leading projects in the age of AI. We’re not just aiming to join the ranks of iconic tech companies; we’re building something the world hasn’t seen before. That’s why we’re looking for someone who not only brings deep experience but is excited to help invent a new kind of design practice—without a blueprint. Someone ready to shape what a brand like this can become. Reporting to the Head of Brand Design, we are seeking a Brand Designer to help us imagine, define, evolve and maintain what this unique project looks and feels like. In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand both strategic objectives and operational requirements, translating these insights into clear and culturally resonant design materials that meet high creative standards.

You will play a key role in defining and evolving the design language for World, the World Foundation, Tools for Humanity, and the initiatives that grow from them. Working closely with the Head of Brand Design and the broader design team, you will help strategize, conceptualize, and design brand materials across digital and print.

Your work will span a wide range of surfaces—from billboards and wild postings to websites, packaging, merchandise, and signage—always designed with the user in mind. These assets will balance both emotional and functional goals: evoking a feeling, conveying meaning, and providing clarity of use.

This role is highly cross-functional, supporting strategic and operational priorities across the organization, including the Office of the CEO, industrial design, architecture, product, operations, and communications. Your contributions will have global visibility, shaping how our brands are experienced and understood worldwide.

In this role, you will:

  • Conceptualize and design in alignment with brand strategy and system for the World, World Foundation and Tools for Humanity brands

  • Vocalize your opinions and help evolve the brands forward, in collaboration with other designers and reporting to Head of Brand Design

  • Be strategic, always leading with the objectives or the strategy of any work and with a user-first approach

  • Work on and prioritize multiple projects at the same time for different markets and brands around the world

  • Create high-fidelity visual assets, graphic materials, sketch and concept ideas, work on a wide range of print and digital projects (e.g., localized art direction, rebrands, bespoke design languages)

  • Collaborate with a wider group of designers, producers and operations managers

  • Execute design and revisions according to creative direction in a timely manner with high attention to detail and creative standard

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, including the discovery and use of AI where it can help you be more effective

  • Be based in San Francisco, in-office minimum 4 days per week

About you:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in brand design print and digital, including knowledge of press and printing processes

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma and other graphic design software, After Effect a plus

  • Strong eye for design, page composition and layout

  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory and current best practices

  • Hands-on design skills and creation of high-fidelity mockups, illustrations and assets

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on projects across teams

  • Hard work ethic and self-starter attitude: with readiness to do whatever it takes to deliver projects on time and at a high creative standard; we are a small team and enjoy flexing our skillsets to help each other

  • Strong time management, communication skills and presentation skills

  • Experience working with design systems for large brands across projects

  • You possess US work authorization

  • Bonus skills (any of the following are always valued on our creative team though not necessary): motion design, video production, videography, video editing, photography, Web3/crypto knowledge.

We are a fast-paced start up with extremely high ambitions. We are also fun and making a genuine impact on the world.
