Job Responsibilities:

• Execute the risk governance framework and processes to ensure that (i) relevant risk management frameworks and policies are in place and maintained in a timely manner and (ii) major risk management matters, key changes in the external market and regulatory environments, incidents, etc. are properly covered and overseen by the Risk Management Committee (RMC)
• Drive initiatives to discover, assess and report on new and existing risk matters Design effective controls and the systematic monitoring of risks
• Perform risk & control assessments on various processes to articulate and explain the risk to management as well as propose mitigating controls to reduce the risk; Maintain oversight on major operational risk incidents to ensure proper corrective actions, identify root causes and drive effective preventive actions
• Work across all levels of the organisation to understand cross-functional linkages and interdependencies, as well as the implications of risk at both strategic and business levels
• Manage Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of Risk Management experience in a Financial Institution preferably with a focus on the Asia region. Prior experience in a digital asset/crypto firm is advantageous
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline is required
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements such as MAS, HKMA or HKSFC
• Excellent communication skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Good understanding of operational risk management processes and controls
• Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage and resolve issues
